In the past, Call Queuing was cost-prohibitive for most customers. This is because most systems require expensive third party Automatic Call Distributors (ACDs) to accomplish Call Queuing. Traditional ACDs queue calls in a first in, first out (FIFO) basis and cannot be answered in any other fashion. This presents a challenge when numerous calls for the same incident (i.e., traffic accident, power outage) accumulate in the queue and therefore extend the time necessary to eventually answer calls from unrelated incidents. Additionally, traditional ACDs do not offer the flexibility of creating messages to be played to incoming callers on the fly. Many people have expressed a need for this option, because at times of major incidents, they need to announce a unique message to incoming callers.

QUEUEView is capable of being configured for any number of queue groups, including 9-1-1, administrative, or any other type of telephone line/trunks to be answered. QUEUEView displays important information such as the number of unanswered calls in each queue, as well as how long the oldest call has been ringing. Additionally, QUEUEView provides the flexibility of selecting a prerecorded message, or recording a message on the fly to be played for a select time to a select queue group. Also see GEOQueue.
